Firefighters are still working to extinguish a blaze in Jacks Hill, St Andrew. 

The fire has been raging since yesterday.

Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB) Stewart Beckford told Irie FM News that firefighters received reports of the fire sometime around 2 PM.

 He said that with the help of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) helicopters were used to contain the blaze.

 Commissioner Beckford also noted that the JFB and the JDF will continue to monitor the situation.
