The Jamaica Fire Brigade is conducting investigations to determine the cause of a fire which destroyed sections of hardware store- New Budget Supplies on Hagley Park Road in St. Andrew, last evening (December 16).

The fire which began at around 9pm, caused extensive damage to warehouses and offices at the property.

Loss is estimated at 700 million dollars.

Public Relations Officer at the Jamaica Fire Brigade Emelio Ebanks told IRIE Fm News that, 56 firefighters responded to the blaze.

He said they are trying to determine the cause.
