On Thursday, the rapper, via his verified Instagram account shared the news with his over 82.6 million followers. “After much consideration, and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time”, he wrote.

In response to Snoop’s statement, Sean Paul in the comment section wrote, “Blessings my G. One love same way.”

While Rohan Marley wrote, “No more BBQ at uncle’s… the grills off for the season”, and Trinidadian Reggae singer Queen Omega wrote, “I missed my opportunity with you.”

Other social media users congratulated Snoop Dog on his decision, while some questioned if his health is in tiptop shape. Other users also cautioned the rapper, explaining that withdrawal can be challenging.
