Education Minister says 87% of students who sat PEP placed in a school of their choice
Education Minister Fayval Williams says 87% of students who sat the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) examination this year, have been placed in one of seven schools of their choice.
Speaking during a press conference this morning (July 8), Mrs. Williams noted that 35, 292 students sat the examinations.
This means 30, 778 students were placed in a school they listed as one of their preferences.
Mrs. Williams noted that the demand for certain schools continues to be high.
She cautioned against making comparisons between the performances of students this year, to previous years, because the 2022 cohort of students did not sit the grades four or five components, of the examination, due to covid.
