Basketball super star Lebron James is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year, US$8 million contract.

This will include a player option.

Following the announcement, Lebron took to social media to express his love for the game and his determination to help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team while inspiring others to develop a deeper passion for basketball.

Earlier this week speculations were rife that James could make a sensational return to the Miami Heat.

This after the heat mistakenly posted a link on youtube to James’ ‘introductory press conference’ despite him not yet deciding where he will play next season.

The link to the live stream, scheduled for July 27 – was uploaded to the heat’s channel on Tuesday before being deleted.

41 year old James announced he was leaving the Los Angeles Lakers in June after eight years, in which he led them to the 2020 NBA title – his fourth overall.

james averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds last season with the lakers.
