Demarco in negotiations with promoter for $6 mil STING clash
STING promoter Isaiah Laing says negotiations are ongoing with Dancehall artist Demarco, who is willing to clash at Sting this year for a hefty fee.
Demarco, who has been exchanging lyrical jabs with Fully Bad, Kyodi, and now Shane-O, has proposed that if STING pays his six million Jamaican dollars he is ready for a lyrical battle.
Isaiah Laing tells Music News that a deal is on the table. He did not give details about the negotiations or if he’s willing to fork out six mil for what would be the highest fee in Dancehall’s history for a clash.
To mark the event’s 40th anniversary, STING will be held at Jamworld Entertainment Complex, in Portmore, St. Catherine, on Boxing Day, December 26.
Bounty Killer, Capleton, Anthony B, Spragga Benz, Tanya Stephens, Turbulence, Macka Diamond, and Tommy Lee Sparta are among the 10 giants billed for Sting 23.
Recently, Isaiah Laing said he is ready to pass on the baton to his son, after 40 years of hard work and sacrifices to host the historical event.
