Command of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF was handed over to new Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake, this afternoon.

This as Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson’s 6 year tenure ends today.

Dr. Blake will take office tomorrow.

Several government ministers and high ranking police officials gathered at the JCF Headquarters in Kingston for the handing over ceremony which began at 5pm.

In a pre-recorded message Prime Minister Andrew Holness thanked Major General Anderson for his contribution to national security.

Meantime, Minister of National Security Dr. Horace Chang expressed confidence that Dr. Blake will serve well.
