Education Minister, Fayval Williams is once again appealing to adults to come together to protect the nation’s children, especially students who are travelling alone.

Her plea follows several recent incidents involving the deaths of school children while travelling home from school.

During Wednesday’s Post-Cabinet press briefing, the Minister expressed sadness at the recent deaths.

She cited a recent survey, which showed that many children are now afraid to travel to and from school, given the recent incidents.

The Minister said it is the duty of adults to always provide a safe space for children.
