Businessman among Jamaicans relieved, after escaping injuries during rocky plane landing at Kingston airport

“Rough and even scary” 

That’s how Chief Executive Officer (CEP) of Seprod Limited Richard Pandohie has described last night’s American Airlines flight from Miami to Kingston.

The businessman is among the many passengers expressing gratitude that the aircraft landed safely, although it was damaged during landing. 

Reports are that the plane veered off the runway at the Norman Manley International Airport.

Speaking with IRIE FM News, Mr. Pandohie says the flight lasted almost three hours.

A flight from Miami generally lasts about an hour and a half .

He says the flight crew was professional and communicated with the passengers .

Mr. Pandohie states that many passengers became aware of the level of damage to the aircraft this morning.
