Bus conductor charged for murder of 5-year-old girl
Charges have been laid against a bus conductor in the case of 5-year-old Denique Salmon, who was shot and killed as she slept in her bed nearly a year ago.
Police had reported that gunmen from warring factions were trading bullets in New Haven, Kingston.
Charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition is 31-year-old Theodore Beavers of Duhaney Terrace in Kingston.
The incident occurred on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
Superintendent of police for the St. Andrew South division, Kirk Ricketts said while Beavers’ court date is being finalized, the police are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending another suspect in the matter.
