JPS to access $50M disaster fund to help it recover from damage caused by Hurricane Beryl 

Energy Minister Daryl Vaz, says the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) will have access to a $50 million Electricity Disaster Fund to help it recover from damage caused by Hurricane Beryl.   

Mr. Vaz, who was addressing this morning’s post-Cabinet press conference, reported that the JPS suffered significant impact to its infrastructure during the passage of the Category 4 hurricane.
