Advocates Network calls on Jamaicans to complete Garvey’s mission

A call is being made for Jamaicans to build up their confidence, find common ground and change the country’s governance system, which includes the much touted transition into a republic.

 

Member of the Advocates Network, Professor Rosalea Hamilton made the call while addressing the Irie FM Annual Marcus Garvey tribute celebration, in Ocho Rios, St. Ann today.

 

Professor Hamilton noted that its time that Jamaicans take back the power to give a clear signal to the political directorate that they need to fulfil the wishes of the populace.

 

She said Jamaica must complete Garvey’s mission of full freedom.

 

 

She said it’s time for Jamaica to set up institutions that build on Garvey’s mission of self-reliance.
