JTA President calls for improved relationship between the ministry and the association

Newly installed President of the Jamaica Teachers Association, JTA, Lasonja Harrison has called for a better relationship between the ministry and the association.

Speaking at the JTA‘s 58th Annual Conference this morning (August 24), Mrs. Harrison said the JTA has not been invited to several major functions such as consultations held regarding the recent grooming policy.

She urged the minister to improve interactions with the JTA.

In response, Education Minister, Fayval Williams assured that the ministry will work to address the issue.
