Three killed and several others injured in St. Mary crash

Three people are dead and at least 5 others are injured following a two vehicle collision along the Stewart Town main road in St. Mary, this morning (February 26).

 

The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.

 

Reports are that at about 7:20 am, a Toyota Succeed motor car operating as a public passenger vehicle was travelling along the roadway when it collided with a Toyota Hiace motor bus travelling in the opposite direction.

 

Several people received injuries.

 

The police and fire fighters were summoned, and the injured persons were taken to hospital, where the taxi operator and 2 other people succumbed.

 

And the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, TODSS is urging operators and other road users to exercise caution on the nation’s roadways.
