A homeless man is dead and two other persons are injured, after they were attacked in Bucksfield, Ocho Rios, St. Ann, yesterday.

Dead is 50-year-old Junior Haye.

Police reports are that at about 3:20 a.m., Haye and a woman were sleeping in a building when they were pounced upon by an attacker.

Further reports are that the attacker used a sharp object to hit Haye and the woman in the head.

A man who was in another section of the building reportedly heard the commotion and went to assist.

He too was attacked and sustained injuries.

The police were summoned, and all three injured persons were taken to hospital.

Haye was pronounced dead, and the other persons were admitted for treatment.
