The Police High Command has expressed sadness at the death of Corporal Hampton

Russell.

Corporal Russell was one of two people killed in a crash along the Richmond Main Road in St. Ann, last evening.

The other deceased is Ackeem Fulton.

Police reports are that at about 8:00 p.mCorporal Russell, who was assigned to the St. Ann Division was driving a Nissan Lafesta motor car with Fulton as a passenger, when his vehicle collided with another. 

Russell and Fulton were pronounced dead at hospital, while the other driver has been admitted in serious condition.

The JCF says its Chaplaincy Branch and Welfare Department are providing support to Corporal Russell’s family, friends and colleagues.

Meantime, Head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, PSTEB, Assistant Commissioner Gary Mckenzie has expressed concern that at least 5 persons have been killed in road crashes over the past 72 hours.
