Jamaican Jordan Johnson to replace Kevlon Anderson in West Indies “A” team

Promising Jamaican batsman Jordan Johnson has been called up by Cricket West Indies to  replace Kevlon Anderson in the West Indies “A” team 14-man squad for the ongoing tour of South Africa.

Johnson will travel Immediately to South Africa and will be available for selection for the second and third unofficial four-day four-day “test” matches against South Africa “A”.  

Anderson, who experienced challenges with his visa documentation and was unable to travel to South Africa will instead join the West Indies Academy in Antigua for the two four-day first-class matches against the emerging Ireland team. 

West Indies ‘A’ in the meantime lead the three-match series one-nil having claimed a narrow one-wicket victory in the first match at Willowmore Park in Benoni.

The two teams will now travel to East London for the second match, at Buffalo Park starting on Tuesday.
