Vere United facing a massive fine from the JFF for coaching breaches

Clarendon-based top flight club Vere United is facing a massive fine from the Jamaica Football Federation for breaches committed on yesterday’s opening day of the 2024-2025 Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League season.

The team which suffered a massive 4-1 defeat to Montego Bay United at the Wembley Center of Excellence, is alleged to have  breached the regulations which speaks to the qualification of coaches.

IRIE FM Sports understands that a fine of 50 thousand dollars could be levied for each match overseen by coaches Craig Butler and Lenny Hyde as they are not in possession of the requisite qualification to do so.

This as the JFF is not in receipt of their documentation which the regulations indicate must be a CONCACAF B license or its equivalent.

Vere United who recently aligned with the Craig Butler led Phoenix Academy will next be in action on match day two against Molynes United.
