Gov’t will terminate contracts of security companies that don’t treat guards as employees

Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke has sought to assure that security companies that do not adhere to stipulations relating to guards being treated as employees, will have their government contracts terminated.

 

He was responding to concerns raised by opposition MP Fitz Jackson, as members of the house reacted to a statement by labour minister Karl Samuda, yesterday (April 19).

 

 

Dr. Clarke said if a complaint is lodged, and the breach is verified, then action will be taken against the offending security company.
