Finance Minister Fayval Williams says telecommunication companies need to reduce the cost for internet services.

She made the statement during a forum hosted by the Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CAPRI) last evening.

Mrs Williams said she has been getting a number of complaints from businesses about the high cost for internet connectivity.

She noted that as the country seeks to make advancements in the technological landscape, telecommunication companies must play their part in this process.

Mrs. Williams said this will be coupled with investments from the Government, which she noted has been significant in the last five years.

However, the Finance Minister admitted that there is a lot more work to be done.
