Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs Marlene Malahoo Forte has raised concern about the highlighting of parliamentarians, in relation to the integrity commission’s probe into allegations of illicit enrichment.

In its 2022 annual report, the Integrity Commission said it was investigating six parliamentarians and 28 public officials for alleged illicit enrichment. 

The opposition and some civic groups have called for the six parliamentarians to be named. 

In light of increasing public anxiety, the commission has been urged to quickly conclude its probe into the matter.
