Adelle Tracey switches allegiance and will represent Jamaica
American born middle distance runner Adelle Tracey has officially changed allegiance and will now be representing Jamaica.
The daughter of former Jamaica College athlete Nicolas Tracey…..the 29 year old previously represented Great Britain and placed fourth in the 800 meters event at the 2018 European Athletics Championships.
She made the announcement public on her twitter account.
According to Tracey in her post her first memories of running were born in the hills of Manchester…adding she is thrilled to embrace this unique opportunity to honour her heritage by continuing her journey as an athlete in the Jamaican vest.
