Chief Justice Bryan Sykes has described the death of parish judge Ruth Lawrence, as a profound loss to the justice system.

She was found unresponsive by her spouse at their home in Coral Spring Village, Trelawny, yesterday. The parish judge was pronounced dead at hospital.

In a statement, Chief Justice Sykes said Lawrence dedicated her life to the service of justice, exemplifying unwavering commitment, compassion, and professionalism throughout her career.

He said Lawrence’s legacy of dedication and service will continue to inspire all.
