Another warning issued to persons squatting on crown lands
Minister of Land Titling and Settlements, Robert Montague said a time will come when persons squatting on crown lands will be removed.
He stressed that the government does not wish to go that route, but there are consequences for squatting.
Mr Montague gave the warning at a land titling ceremony in St. Andrew yesterday.
Several residents of the Ackee Walk and Jackson town communities in the parish, received their land titles through government intervention.
Mr. Montague encouraged beneficiaries and the wider public to urge others to get their lands regularized.
However, he noted that there are persons determined not to go through the legal route to acquire lands.
