A police constable has succumbed to severe injuries he sustained in a motor cycle collision along the Lacovia Main Road in St. Elizabeth on Friday.

He has been identified as Ezroy Boothe.

Constable Boothe died today at the Black River Hospital.

Just yesterday, head of the St. Elizabeth police, Superintendent Coleridge Minto appealed to members of the public to donate blood for the policeman.

He also gave details on the crash.
