The five Haitians who were arrested during a raid at a house in Spring Ground, Christiana, Manchester on Sunday will be sent back to their homeland.

The decision was made during their appearance in the Manchester Parish Court today.

The four men and one woman, who is believed to be pregnant, appeared before the court to answer to an illegal entry charge.

Speaking with IRIE FM News this afternoon, Detective Sergeant attached to the Manchester division Dwayne Card said the Haitians pleaded guilty in court.

He added that they were each sentenced to a fine of $6000JMD or 14 days imprisonment.

He said the Haitians remain in holding, pending a deportation order by the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA).
