Two in custody after body found in shallow grave in St.Catherine
Two men remain in custody in relation to the murder of a St. Catherine man whose body was found in a shallow grave in the parish yesterday.
The deceased is 43-year-old Humphrey Brown of Piccadilly Drive, Willowdene, Spanish Town.
Police reports are that at about 11:15 P.M. on Friday, July 11, Brown was last seen at home.
A missing person report was filed and an investigation was launched.
According to lawmen, at around 7:00 A.M. yesterday, residents stumbled upon Brown’s body in a shallow grave on Thetford Farm Road, Old Harbour and alerted them.
On the arrival of lawmen, the scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue.
Police say Brown’s vehicle was also found in Alexandria, St. Ann.
Speaking to IRIE FM News this morning, Head of the St. Catherine North Police, Senior Superintendent Hopton Nicholson said that the men who are in custody are persons of interest in the matter.
He said the men are being questioned about the incident.
