Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says despite calls from employers to import labour, he has not given up on the local labour force.

Speaking at a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Fundraising Banquet on Friday the Prime Minister noted that he does not believe it is time to import labour.

He said the Government will be pushing hard to get Jamaicans who are not employed into the formal economic space.

He highlighted the work already done by the Government to reduce the unemployment rate significantly.
