Opposition PNP accuses JLP of only being concerned about its own supporters

The opposition People’s National Party (PNP) has accused the governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) of only being concerned about its own supporters.

PNP General Secretary Dr. Dayton Campbell made the claim during a party meeting at the Rennock Lodge Primary School in Rockfort, Kingston on Sunday.

His statement came after JLP Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness asserted that an opposition is not necessary, as JLP supporters hold the government accountable.

Dr. Campbell said the statement is an insult to Jamaicans who do not support a political party.

In the meantime, the General Secretary expressed that the PNP has plans of winning the Central Kingston constituency.
