Midfielder Ravel Morrison added to the Reggae Boyz squad for the upcoming Unity Cup in England
Midfielder Ravel Morrison, in a surprising u-turn, has been added to the Reggae Boyz squad for the upcoming Unity Cup Afro- Caribbean Invitational Tournament in England.
Morrison, who plays in the United Arab Emirates for Second Division club Precision FC, last featured for the Reggae Boyz in a 2-2 draw with Mexico in the 2023 Concacaf Nations League campaign.
His recall comes after recent statements by Reggae Boyz head coach Steve McClaren who last week in a media briefing ruled out his inclusion due to concerns over the standard of the league in the UAE.
The Reggae Boyz will line up against West African powerhouse teams Ghana and Nigeria along with Caribbean neighbours Trinidad and Tobago in the four-team tournament that is scheduled to run from May 27 to 31.
The matches will be played at the Gtech Stadium, home of English Premier League campaigners Brentford, in West London.
