PEP students sit Mathematics and Social Studies exams today

Grade six students across the island have embarked on day two of the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations.

After completing Language Arts and Science yesterday, students are sitting the Mathematics and Social Studies exams today.

Today is the final day of examinations.

One mother, whose child attends a school in the corporate area, told IRIE FM News that she has tempered her expectations due to the learning challenges faced by her child.

She said she remains supportive and hopes for the best outcomes.

She also encouraged other parents with children with similar challenges to be supportive.

During yesterday’s post-Cabinet press briefing, Education Minister Dana Morris-Dixon said special accommodations were being granted to 556 PEP students with special needs or challenges.

Over 33,000 students are sitting the PEP exams this year.
