Megan Tapper called up to compete on the second stop at the Grand Slam track series in Miami
2020 Tokyo Olympic Bronze medalist Megan Tapper has been called up to compete in the short hurdles field for this Saturday’s second stop in the inagural season of Grand Slam track in Miami.
Tapper who will feature as a challenger will fill the lane that is vacated by racer and former Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho Quinn of Puerto Rico.
Tapper will join fellow Jamaican and racer Akera Nugent in the short hurdles group.
Two time world championship bronze medalist Ruschell Clayton who picked up an injury in the opening leg of the meet in Kingston earlier this month will miss out in Miami and her lane will be taken by Cassandra Tate in the long hurdles group.
Shian Salmon and Andrenette Knight will keep their lanes in the long hurdles group.
Other Jamaicans competiting in Miami this weekend are: Oblique Seville and Akeem Blake in the men’s short sprints group, Roshawn Clarke and Malik James King in the men’s long hurdles group, Stacy-Ann Williams in the Women’s long sprint group,
