Three teenaged boys have been slapped with multiple charges in relation to the sexual assault of a teen girl in St. Catherine, last year.

The boys are ages 15, 16 and 17 years, respectively.

Reports are that in February 2024, a 16-year-old girl, who was the friend of one of the boys, met up with him and they later went to his home.

When they got to the house, the other two other boys were there.

Further reports are that the boys allegedly locked the girl inside the residence and sexually assaulted her against her will.

The complainant later made a report to the police, and an investigation was launched.

Yesterday, lawmen made a breakthrough in the case and all 3 boys were apprehended.

They were subsequently charged with rape, grievous sexual assault, unlawful detention to have sexual intercourse, unlawful detention to commit grievous sexual assault, indecent assault, attempted rape, as well as aiding and abetting rape.

A court date is being finalised.
