A grade 10 student is one of two female pedestrians who died from injuries sustained in motor vehicle crashes, yesterday.

Dead are Holy Childhood High School student Alima Quarry and 49-year-old Michelle Thompson.

The Holy Childhood High School administration said Alima was hit while crossing a roadway in St. Thomas yesterday. She was reportedly heading to a church function.

Meanwhile, in the other incident, Thompson was hit by a motorcycle being driven by a police officer in Wiltshire, Trelawny last night.

Reports indicate that around 10:00 PM, she was attempting to cross the road when she allegedly stepped into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.
