Police theorise that killing of social media personality 41 Buss Head may be linked to gang conflict
The St. James police are investigating the circumstances that led to the murder of a 23-year-old social media personality in Montego Bay, yesterday.
Dead is Marvin Samuels, more popularly known as 41 Buss Head of Rose Heights, in Montego Bay.
He would have celebrated his 24th birthday today.
Reports are that about 10:00 p.m. Samuels was shot and killed by unknown assailants along Barnett Street.
Samuels is the second social media personality to be killed, in two weeks.
On December 7, Xaviah Fogah, also called Niah Gang, was shot and killed during a live stream on a popular social media platform.
Meantime, National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang said investigators theorise that the killing of social media personality 41 Buss Head may be connected to ongoing gang conflict in Montego Bay, St. James.
Dr. Chang noted that Samuels was a relative of an alleged gang member and that the shooting may be linked to an ongoing gang conflict.
The minister said the police are working to restore peace and calm to the community.
Acknowledging the concerns about violence and social media platforms, Dr. Chang said there is no need for silencing.
