The Education Ministry is urging educators to rethink traditional teaching methods by embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Acting Chief Education Officer, Terry-Ann Thomas-Gayle, emphasized the variety of technological tools now available for the classroom that can enhance learning experiences while addressing the unique needs and learning styles of students.

Mrs. Thomas-Gayle acknowledged that challenges come with the use of technology and as such, protecting sensitive student information is critical.

She was speaking at a recent Caribbean Examinations Council’s (CXC) awards luncheon under the theme: ‘The Impact of AI on the Education System.’
