Attorneys representing Dancehall entertainer Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer and his co-appellants have expressed hope, that the Court of Appeal will rule in favour of the men.

The court will decide tomorrow afternoon if the men are to be retried.

Kartel, along with Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St. John were sentenced to life imprisonment in 2014 for the 2011 murder of  Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

However, their murder convictions were quashed by the United Kingdom-based Privy Council in March, due to jury tampering.

Last month, submissions were made for and against the retrying of the men. 

The Appeal Court said the ruling was to be expected before the end of July.

One of Kartel’s attorney’s Alessandra Labeach, said she is happy that the court kept its promise to deliver the judgement before the month ends.
