18YO carpenter to face court Friday to answer to charges stemming from triple murder along Windward Road, Kingston

An 18-year-old carpenter is to face the court next Friday to answer to charges stemming from a triple murder along Windward Road, Kingston 6, on May 13.

Richard Jonas, otherwise called ‘Monkey Man’ and ‘Jellani’ of Queensborough in Kingston is charged with three counts of murder, wounding with intent, possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition and three counts of conspiracy to commit murder.

The deceased are 23-year-old Sabian Clarke, 20-year-old Troy Dennis and 15-year-old Marquice Morgan, all of Kingston addresses.

Reports are that at about 3:10 PM, Clarke, Dennis and Marquice were in a yard when five armed men alighted from a motor car and opened gunfire hitting them.

Clarke, Dennis and Marquice were pronounced dead at hospital.

Jonas, who was positively identified as one of the gunmen, will appear before the Kingston and St. Andrew parish court on June 28.
