Reggae boyz defender Greg Leigh was today named the English football league one player of the month for September.

Leigh who plies his trade with Oxford United scored three goals to help the side top the league table and him winning the divisional award

He is the first Reggae Boy since Kevin Lisbie to receive this award, and he is also the third Jamaican International ever to win this award after Jermaine Beckford and Kevin Lisbie.

Oxford who currently lies second in the table a point behind leaders Portmouth , will next be in action on Saturday when they tackle Black Pool.
