PM maintains that lives of many Jamaicans including public sector workers vastly improved since compensation restructuring
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has maintained that the lives of many Jamaicans including public sector workers have vastly improved since the Government’s compensation restructuring system.
Since the new compensation system was implemented earlier this year, there have been complaints by several public sector groups that they are worse off financially.
Some have also noted anomalies in their monthly salaries – an issue the Finance Ministry has been working to address.
Speaking at a South East Clarendon Constituency Conference yesterday, Prime Minister Holness said despite the negative comments, many citizens have approached him with gratitude.
He said with public sector workers getting more, they are now able to do more for themselves and their families.
