Bunting pledges that next PNP government will fix compensation review issues
Opposition spokesman on national security, Peter Bunting, has urged unions representing public sector groups, not to allow government to remove annual increments from their salaries.
Speaking this morning, on day one of the annual joint conference of the Jamaica police federation, Mr. Bunting chastised the government for what he described, as its chaotic implementation of the compensation review system.
He said the process was conducted without integrity, while questioning the algorithm used by the finance ministry.
Mr. Bunting lamented that public servants were bullied into signing before arbitrary deadlines.
He added that more needs to be done, to address the resource and infrastructure needs of officers.
