The Kingston Western police are ramping up efforts to put an end to an alleged turf war between some residents of Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town.

In recent times, there has been a flare-up of violence between residents of the two communities.

Some residents of Denham Town say the conflict has been going-on for years.

They say it is time for it to end.

Meantime, residents of Tivoli Gardens are also calling for peace.

And the police say they are working to restore calm to the communities.

Head of the Kingston Western police Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps told reporters that several approaches will be taken to address the issue.
