Three Clarendon family members killed in feud over land
Three members of a Clarendon family were killed in separate incidents, between Monday evening and last evening, in what has been described, as a family feud, over land.
On Monday, a man identified as 40–year–old Kenrick Francis, a taxi operator, was killed near his home, in Springfield.
Then last evening, his father, Evan Francis, and step mother, were shot dead near their home, on Duke Street.
The woman’s identity has not been ascertained.
It‘s reported that at about 6 pm, the elder Francis and his fiance had just returned home, and the man got out of the vehicle to open the gate, when they were attacked.
Councillor for the York Town Division, Uphell Purcell, who visited the scene of the double murder last evening, described the situation as tragic.
Mr. Purcell said the son was killed after he left the duke street area, for his home, in Springfield.
