A seven year old girl is suspected to have drowned in Orange Bay, Portland, yesterday.

Dead is Oneilia Wilks of Walk Lane District, in Orange Bay.

Reports are that about 8:30 a.m., residents saw Oneilia’s body floating in a pit filled with water and summoned the police.

On the arrival of the lawmen, the young girl’s body was retrieved and taken to the morgue pending a post mortem examination.

Investigations continue.
