3 people including Muschett High student killed in crash along Salt Marsh road in Trelawny
Three people, including a female student, were killed in a two vehicle collision along the Salt Marsh main road in Trelawny, this morning.
The dead girl has been identified as 15 year old Tashanti Jones, a grade 10 student of Muschett High School.
The 2 deceased men have not yet been identified, however, it’s reported that one of them is the stepfather of Jones.
The crash, which involved a White Suzuki Grand Vitara and a Black Toyota Wish, occurred at about 10:30 a-m.
Head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch Assistant Commissioner of Police, A-C-P, Gary McKenzie said the Suzuki Motor car was making a right turn when the Toyota collided in the right side of it.
The impact resulted in the Suzuki motor car veering to the left, going off the road, while the Toyota crashed into a wall.
The driver of the Toyota Wish, along with Jones and her step father, who were occupants of the car, sustained injuries and were later pronounced dead.
The female driver of the Suzuki was taken to hospital for treatment.
