The Education Ministry says all schools are to remain in remote learning mode tomorrow, as Tropical Storm Melissa continues its approach.
The Ministry says it will continue consulting with the Met Service and the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) and will issue further guidance over the weekend, regarding the resumption of face-to-face classes.
The Education Ministry issued the directive yesterday for the suspension of face-to-face classes and the transition to remote learning today.
Where remote learning is not possible, schools were asked to prepare take home worksheets and other at home learning activities to ensure learning continues.
