The Chinese Workers at the construction site for the Western Child and Adolescent Hospital in St. James have reportedly been paid.
They recently staged a protest demanding payment.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Errol Greene gave the update while addressing the St. James chapter of the Lay Magistrates Association of Jamaica meeting on Wednesday.
Mr. Green also noted that 50 Chinese workers are to return to their homeland as they have completed their part of the work.
He added that rehabilitation work on the Cornwall Regional Hospital, which is on the same property, continues.
