Police are probing the circumstances that led to the murder of a man during a live stream on a popular social media platform at the weekend.

Dead is Xavier Fogah, popularly known as ‘Niah Gang’.

Reports from the police are that at about 9:15 PM on Saturday, Fogah and others were outside his home on Panton Lane in Old Harbour, St. Catherine when two men on foot approached them.

The men reportedly opened gun fire hitting Fogah to his head and upper body before escaping on foot in the area.

A man who was beside Fogah during the incident escaped unharmed.

Police were alerted to the scene and Fogah was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

A motive has not yet been established for the murder. Investigations are ongoing.
