Five people were arrested during police operations in St. Elizabeth, between yesterday and this morning.
The arrests in relation to drug, offensive weapon and gun possession occurred in Santa Cruz and along the Stevens Run main road.
Head of the St. Elizabeth Police Superintendent Coleridge Minto said 2 persons were arrested in Santa Cruz yesterday, after an offensive weapon and crack cocaine were allegedly found in their possession.
They were later charged.
In the second incident at around 4 this morning, a gun was found in a motor vehicle during a spot check along the Stevens Run main road.
Superintendent Minto said the occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.
