In a social media post this afternoon, Mr. Vaz said he was in discussions with both toll operators and the National Road Operating and Constructing Company Limited (NROCC) to effect the suspension of tolls charged along the East-West and North-South Highways.

He said this will take effect in the first instance from 6 this evening until midnight when the tolls roads will close and only essential service providers should be travelling.
